Lost at Sea

feature photo

Maritime mishaps have again taken its share in the Philippines. Typhoon Frank recently collected its casualties declaring hundreds of people still missing and most number of dead people. A ship carrying more than 800 passengers capsized with very few survivors. Heartbreaking stories have been recounted by survivors regarding their ordeals while at sea until their rescue. Relatives and friends are waiting on dry land day and night for reports on their love ones who boarded the ship. Body bags kept coming and reports have it that majority of the passengers might still have been inside the overturned ship. Even if there were digital spy cameras around the ship, the recording could have been impossible to retrieve. Questions were asked, “Human error or an act of God?”
